Performance monitoring of new installations:
- Understand behavior of FRP decks over time
- Collect data on items of interest & discussion within FRP deck community
- Monitor:
- Temperature effects
- Shear load transfer at field joints
- Shear load transfer at deck-to-girder connection
- Deflection
Monitor Plan:
- Live Load Tests
- Every six months for Greene County FRP deck for 2 years
- Collect data on load transfer and deflection
- Continuous monitoring of temperature
- Collect data continuously
- Analyze every month
- IBRC funded monitoring for Greene & Clinton Counties
- Discrete monitoring for other four county decks (NCC funded)
